Leitrim Gardaí appeal over speeding outside national schools

Gardaí in Leitrim have issued an appeal for drivers to slow down when approaching school zones. The Sligo/Leitrim Roads Policing Unit issued the notice after conducting speed checks outside some of Leitrim's national schools.

One driver was detected doing 116km per hour in a 50km/h zone. Gardaí have warned that motorists caught driving over the speed limit will be issued with Fixed Charge Penalty Notices.
