Almost 1,900 students across Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon will complete their Junior Certificate examinations either today or on Monday.
Local Gardai are reminding students to enjoy the celebrations safely and to always look out for each other.
A number of discos are expected to take place across the region and Garda' are reminding those attending that these are strictly no alcohol events.
It's understood Gardai will be on duty in the vicinity of these discos.
Garda Dora Treacy from Carrick On Shannon Garda Station has this message.
''Gardai in the Leitrim District wish the congratulate all the Junior Cert students who are finishing up exams in the coming days. We're sure you're looking forward to celebrating and we want to ensure that you enjoy those celebrations safely and remember to look after each other. If you're attending any of the end of exam discos in your area remember that these are strictly no alcohol events and Gardaí will be on duty in the vicinity. We'd also urge parents to be mindful of where your child is and who they are with. We want everyone to have a good time and remain safe while doing so.''
