As national Farm Safety week draws to a close, the Chairman of Leitrim IFA is appealing to motorists and farmers to be patient with each other on the roads.
Des Mc Hugh says right now is an extremely busy time for farmers who are under pressure to get a lot of work completed during this fine spell.
He says people from a non-farming background can also be under pressure as well when they're travelling and there needs to be equal respect between the two.
He's asking people to be patient and not take chances when overtasking some of the slow moving farm machinery, but he's also asking drivers of the machines to pull over and let cars pass safely where it's possible:
