Just under 400 buildings were under construction in the Shannonside region last month.
According to GeoDirectory's latest report, Leitrim and Longford had the lowest amount of new constructions in the country. At the end of last year, 22,777 buildings were under construction in Ireland according to new data. Of these, 375 were being built in Longford, Leitrim, and Roscommon, representing just over 1.5% of national housing stock. Leitrim had the lowest number of constructions underway nationwide at 96. 111 buildings were under construction in Longford, representing the second lowest figure in the country. While in Roscommon, 168 buildings were being built in December of last year, the 4th lowest nationally.
Dublin had the highest number of new builds at 3,570, which is 15.7% of all new builds across Ireland.
