A 49-year-old Leitrim man has appeared in court accused of driving a truck that broke through the gates of the Russian Embassy in Dublin.
He was granted bail to appear in court again next month
Desmond Wisley, from Tully, Ballinamore in Co. Leitrim, appeared before Tallaght District Court this morning charged with dangerous driving and criminal damage.
Mr Wisley, who wasn't represented by a solicitor, addressed the court to confirm his name and to agree to bail conditions set out by Gardai.
He has agreed to stay away from the Orwell Road in Dublin 14, as well as to avoid any direct or indirect contact with Russian Embassy staff.
Garda Aishling Conroy of Tallaght Garda Station told the court Mr Wisley must also avoid the Ailesbury Road in Dublin 4, as well as posting about the charges on social media.
He'll appear in court again on April 26th.
