The Leitrim Marina Hotel in Leitrim village may be about to become a centre for asylum-seekers. It has been accommodating Ukrainian refugees in recent years, but many have now left the property.
The Department of Integration says it has received an offer for the hotel to accommodate international-protection applicants. It's still under consideration, but local councillor Enda Stenson says there's been no consultation with the community:
