Parents of pre-school children in Ballinamore are calling on the Board of the local community childcare services to clarify changes to the class groups.
A week after the service opened this term, parents discovered that older children who had been signed up for the Irish speaking Naionra group were moved to the English speaking Lollipops Kids class.
An Irish speaking childcare worker offers some Irish tuition at certain points during the day but parents say this is not satisfactory.
They say they have been offered no explanation for the change nor did they consent to it in the contract they signed in the summer.
A public meeting is being organised for 8pm in the Commercial Hotel tomorrow night to discuss the issue.
Maureen Martin who is a member of the group set up to support parents involved says they are entitled to answers.
