County Leitrim has the fourth highest rate of Covid 19 in the country.
The government has published a list of rates of the virus per 100,000 of population in each county today. Recording 16 new cases in the last 14 days, the rate of Covid 19 in county Leitrim stands at almost 50 (49.9) per 100,000 of population.
Longford has a rate of 41.6 with an increase of 17 new cases of the virus in the county. Roscommon features further down on the list with a rates of 18.6 per 100,000 of population.
The graphic in the full page notice published in all national newspapers today indicates that the trend of Covid 19 is rising in each of the three counties, and asks people to help stop the spread by limiting social contacts and other implementing public health advice measures.
