In Roscommon, a rise of 44 people was recorded in the Live Register total between July and August - with a total of 2259 unemployed in the county.
Compared to figures for August of last year, the county recorded an additional 356 people are unemployed in the county.
1804 people have claimed unemployment assistance at the Athlone office and 2372 in the Mullingar Intreo office in August, up 25 and 13 respectively on figures for July.
