A new expansion of Local Link Transport Services in Leitrim is coming under criticism from locals following claims it won't adequately serve the older population.
New plans announced last week have seen four new Regular Rural Services routes come on stream in addition to the two existing routes.
While the expansion of public transport in the region is being widely welcomed, disappointment has voiced over the lack of local bus companies providing the new routes
The buses will operate on a fixed route between towns and villages and have a scheduled timetable.
This has led to displeasure from locals who claim previous services operated a more fluid service that supported the elderly and those with mobility issues.
