School bus drivers in the Shannonside Northern Sound region say they have a number of concerns over the plans that would see school buses operate at full capacity.
An exception to the social distancing rule is being made for school buses because students are being pre-asigned seats next to a sibling or a child for their class group.
It's understood unions representing bus drivers are to meet with Bus Eireann management on Tuesday next to discuss how it would operate, especially as the school transport system is at full capacity each year.
