A Leitrim National School has been crowned national winners at this year's 'Ireland's Future is Mine' competition.
Organised by Microsoft and RTE, St. Hugh's Primary School in Dowra were tasked with creating a digital version of their village.
The competition encourages students to think creatively and problem-solve as shape Ireland's sustainable future through the world of Minecraft.
The final of this year's event was broadcast on RTE 2 last evening and saw the Leitrim school overcome Westmeath's Moyvore National School.
Speaking to Shannonside FM, Principal of St Hugh's Padraig Kenny says the competition allowed students to develop new skills.
