The average driving test pass rate across the Shannonside region is over 45 per cent this month.
The finding comes from a recent CSO report.
The CSO report published a series of data outlining the pass rate for driving tests across all counties in Ireland in the month of May.
Leitrim had the highest pass rate at 55.6 per cent out of the 208 tests which took place in the Carrick-on-Shannon test centre last month.
The figure is followed by the test centre in Athlone, where the pass rate was 53.7 per cent for a total of 281 driving tests taking place there.
In Roscommon, 48 per cent of the 237 tests were passed.
Meanwhile Longford had the lowest figure in the region, at 41.5 per cent passed driving tests out of the 232 occurred in May.
The average pass rate for the four test centres is 49.5 per cent, a decrease of point 25 percent since the same time last year.
Nationally, the pass rate for this month is 51.2 per cent.
