County Letirim has recorded the highest rent increase in the country in the last year.
The latest reports from DAFT.ie shows that the cost of renting a property has risen by 21.6% in the last three months, compared to the same period last year.
The county however has the lowest prices, averaging at 742 euro a month.
Roscommon properties have the next highest increase at 20.4 per cent, where the costs average 876 euro.
In Longford, the average monthly rent costs 848 euro, a rise of 11 per cent.
The prices fall well below the national average 1,516 euro.
