Leitrim TD Martin Kenny is calling on the government to provide additional supports for carers of adults with intellectually disabilities.
Martin Kenny told the Dail that some people are at their 'wits end' due to the ongoing reduction in day care services due to the pandemic.
The HSE is currently operating under a 'Framework for the Resumption of Adult Disability Day Services' which Deputy Kenny believes could be more flexible in helping services resume for carers and people in care.

The Sinn Fein TD understands that care that must be taken before the resumption of services, but he feels there is a shocking lack of urgency about restoring services:
