The official opening of the Leitrim Volunteer Centre will take place online next Tuesday morning by the Minister of State at the Department of Community and Rural Development Joe O' Brien.
Leitrim is one of 8 new centres opening in the country since the middle of last year.
The Leitrim Development Company has been operating a Volunteer Information Centre in previous years, but this is the first dedicated service of its kind.
The centre is located at the Education Centre in Carrick-On-Shannon and it aims to match volunteers to suitable opportunities within community based organisations.
Brian Smith who's Chairperson of the Leitrim Volunteer Centre says anyone who's interested is very welcome to join the launch online next Tuesday and find out more about volunteer opportunities in the county.
