A Leitrim woman has described her house and windows shaking for almost 30 seconds after an earthquake struck Australia's second largest city.
Just after 9am, Melbourne was struck by a quake which measured 5-point-8 on the Richter scale.
Some damage to buildings has been reported - with bricks falling onto the street and power-lines knocked down but there have been no serious injuries.
The shaking was also felt outside the city, with skiers coming down Victoria's Mount Buller feeling the impact of the quake.
