Gardaí are asking homeowners to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to Carrick on Shannon Garda Station.

Councillor Paddy O'Rourke has branded today's announcement of 250 new jobs at Freudenberg Medical in Carrick on Shannon as a great day for Leitrim.

The company is the biggest employer in the county and plan to employ close to 1,000 people locally by 2026.

The local authority will have over €60.1 million to spend next year, an increase of €7.5 million on 2024.
