Leitrim is one of six counties whose 14-day incidence rate of Covid 19 is above the national average.
Data published by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre shows that the county's rate is the third highest in the country over the last fortnight at 81.1
Leitrim has recorded 26 cases of Covid between the 3rd and 16th of September, in contrast to less than five cases recorded between 20th of August and the 2nd of September when its rate was just 3.1
Only Dublin and Louth are higher at present than Leitrim, with Waterford and Kildare also above the national average per 100,000 of 59.1.
