A west Roscommon man says him and father could have been killed when the roof of a shed fell on top of them, as they watched the Toy Show in their mobile home in Ballaghaderreen last night.
The roof came off the animal-shed, went up in the air and then landed on top of their temporary home in Brusna.
The lucky escape came during Storm Darragh, which has led to over 30,000 people being without power in the Shannonside region.
Bob Towey has been telling his story to our reporter Eoghan Murphy.
