James Daniels died, along with 19-year-old Harry Fagan, when the car they were travelling in collided with a tractor.

The mother of a 13-year-old Roscommon boy killed in a road crash has paid an emotional tribute to him at his funeral.

James Daniels died, along with 19-year-old Harry Fagan, when the car they were travelling in collided with a tractor.

It happened beside Cloonfad United Football Club, on the Roscommon-Mayo border, last Friday night.

James played for the club and went to Ballyhaunis Community School.

His mother Karen told his funeral today his life was brief but very precious.

She says he had a great relationship with his brother, Zachary.

Fr Mark Quinn, Karen's cousin, also paid tribute to the teenager.
