The success of Ireland's women's side qualifying for the World cup means no homework for one Ballinasloe-based primary school thanks to a former pupil.
Heather Payne started last night for Ireland in their 1-0 win over Scotland to secure their place in next year's finals.
She begin showing early signs of sporting promise when she was a pupil at Creagh National School in Ballinasloe, Mrs Aine Bleahene is the school principal and taught Heather at junior infants and in sixth class.
She says everyone is so inspired by the 22-year-old.
