A 70-year-old Longford man has lost almost €200,000 in forestry because of Storm Eowyn - and he's been told it's not insured.
He was one of 250 people who attended a public meeting in Carrick-on-Shannon last night.
It heard the recent forestry damage was catastrophic.
People travelled from throughout the Shannonside region and further afield for the meeting in the Landmark Hotel.
It heard about the unprecedented damage caused.
There was a presentation from TreeMetrics - a forest monitoring company based in Cork.

One of those impacted is Sean Donnelly, from Ballinamuck in Co Longford.
He had 40 acres of forestry – the storm brought down half of it.
