A public meeting is taking place tonight to discuss a proposal to accommodate asylum-seekers in Leitrim village.
It's being organised by the local community and is taking place in St Joseph's Hall in the village at 9.30.
The Department of Integration is considering an offer for the Leitrim Marina Hotel to accommodate international-protection applicants.
Until recently, Ukrainian refugees were living there.
Eoghan Murphy has been speaking to local businessman Seamus Gibbons about the issue.
Local councillor Enda Stenson has also been reacting to the proposal.
