A Roscommon business is hopeful that they will be able to significantly expand their operations and workforce this year due to a plentiful supply of local labour and raw materials.
Dan O'Brien is one of the founders of Lidan Designs - which has been nominated for a National Enterprise Award next month.
He is the Roscommon nominee for the gala event - with a top prize of €50,000 on order for the best small business in Ireland.
The firm, which constructs timber Frame Houses, Offices and Garden Rooms, employs around 12 people at present - but it's hoped the workforce will continue to grow in the coming months.
