There is a real desire on the part of government to find a solution for the flooding in Lough Funshinagh.
That's according to local councillor Laurence Fallon following a meeting which took place in Co. Roscommon yesterday.
Local councillors as well as the Junior Minister for the OPW, Kieran O'Donnell, were present at the meeting.
Speaking to Shannonside FM, councillor Laurence Fallon described the minister's dismay upon seeing the conditions at Lough Funshinagh, and said that the government is putting in genuine effort in finding a solution for the local community:
