Ireland should withdraw form the Eurovision song contest immediately.
That's the reaction of one local man after the Irish act failed to progress to the final of the event for the fifth year in a row.
Wild Youth didn't make the top ten acts in this week's semi final in Liverpool.
Ireland has not qualified for the final since 2019 and has not won the competition since 1996.
Speaking to the Joe Finnegan show, Sean believes it's no longer a song contest, it's a comedy show:
We should have boycotted it when that new voting system came in.
The new voting system came in to get rid of countries like England and Ireland that comes up with good singers and good songs.
If Johnny Logan was singing today, or Linda Martin or Dana, they would not win the Eurovision, because they were good singers. Europe is making a laugh of Ireland, they laughing through their teeth.
We should leave the Eurovision now. These ones jumping around the stage dressed up in funny gear, it's more like a comedy show it is?
