513 free counselling sessions were provided to cancer patients in the Shannonside region last year.
That's according to figures released by the Irish Cancer Society.
The figures come ahead of this years Daffodil Day which is the main fundraising event for the Irish Cancer society.
Just 3% of the society's income comes from government
During Daffodil Day, funds are raised to support cancer research and cancer support services.
A total of 221 free counselling sessions were offered in Longford last year.
While in Roscommon 179 sessions were provided and Leitrim had 133 sessions offered.
Over 363 nights of in-home Night Nursing was provided for cancer patients in the Shannonside region last year.
These included 116 nights in Longford, 93 nights in Leitrim and 154 in Roscommon.
Meanwhile, 102 free lifts to get patients safely to hospital appointments were provided by the cancer society in Leitrim last year.
317 free lifts were offered in Longford and 244 in Roscommon.
