A Roscommon-based carer service has scooped €10,000 at the National Lottery Good Causes Awards.
The awards highlight the work which positively impacts communities across Ireland.
Roscommon Young Carers Project was rewarded in the Youth Category at a ceremony, which took place in Killashee House Hotel in County Kildare, on Saturday.
The local organisation supports young carers looking after a family member with an illness, injury, disability, mental health issue or addiction.
The National Lottery funding allowed the group to set a foundation for their 'Art of Caring' program which uses the arts as a medium to connect young people in an area of their personal interest.
