A local chef is calling for the 9% VAT rate to be implemented by the new government immediately. It comes as the incoming government has announced it will cut the VAT rate to 9% for the hospitality, entertainment and hairdressing sector in the next Budget. The VAT rate for the sector is currently 13.5%, and has been the cause of concern for many business-owners.
