A Roscommon childcare practitioner says current Covid-19 grants from Government don't go far enough.
Amy O'Dowd, manager of Cuan Bhride in Four Mile House is calling on the State to provide more resources to the sector to protect against Covid-19 outbreaks.
She says educational facilities need financial support in order to purchase HEPA filters, antigen tests and N95 facemasks.
While schools and creches returned this morning, the crèche manager says just half of students arrived for care.
Staff shortages are also effecting the Roscommon facility with some Special Education Assistants drafted into secondary schools.
The childcare manager says there's a nervousness across the sector.
