A local man has raised concerns regarding a major dumping problem along the Roscommon Galway border close to the River suck. Speaking to the Joe Finnegan show this morning, Billy Geraghty highlighted that the problem is occurring near the village of Dysart where several bags of rubbish are being dumped.
Billy, who works with the Animal Haven charity, mentioned how seven puppies were dumped alive before Christmas but thankfully were rescued. He believes that because the dumping is occurring on the border between the two counties, it's difficult for both county councils to intervene:
