Local conservation group describe anger over Mote Park tree felling

The group has called for a meeting today with ESB representatives before anymore work is carried out.

A local conservation group has expressed anger at the felling of a number of trees at a popular Roscommon amenity.

Mote Park Conservation Group accused ESB Networks of doing a 'shoddy job' in removing foliage from a walking trail.

The group says the trees were cut from one of the only trails unaffected by Storm Éowyn.

Eilish Feeley from the Mote Park group says the use of a harvester destroyed beech trees on the trail:

Eilish called for a meeting today with ESB representatives before anymore work is carried out.
