A local conservation group is urging people to take their rubbish home with them following a number of littering incidents at a popular Roscommon park.
The Mote Park Conservation Group made the appeal after one motorist dumped a bag of rubbish from their vehicle last week.
Eilish Feeley of the group says littering is on the rise at the south Roscommon amenity in recent years and those responsible will be reported.
She urged members of the public to take rubbish away with them in order to keep the park clean.
Speaking to Shannonside News, she said the litter warden has been informed of the latest incident.
