A local councillor says a 'root and branch' review is needed when it comes to delays around the delivery of major roads projects. Councillor Seamus Butler was speaking ahead of public consultation regarding the N4 Mullingar to Rooskey road.
Westmeath and Longford County Councils supported by Transport Infrastructure Ireland will host three in-person sessions next week. The Fianna Fáil councillor bemoaned the fact that such an important piece of infrastructure has experienced delays since its inception. Speaking to Shannonside News, he said he hopes construction of the project will begin in the lifetime of the current council:
