A local councillor claims GDPR is hindering efforts to properly enforce littering laws in Longford. Independent councillor Gerry Warnock called on the local authority to follow through with fines and prosecutions. A total of 150 fines were issued for littering in County Longford last year. Of these, failure to pay fines resulted in 26 prosecutions initiated under the Litter pollution act.
