Fine Gael TD Frank Feighan will still deliver for the Sligo-Leitrim constituency despite missing out on a Junior Minister role.
That's according to Leitrim county councillor Enda McGloin, who says Feighan will prove just as effective from the back benches.
He says the Boyle man has shown what he's capable of over the last few years:
Cllr McGloin said missing out on the Government role will allow Deputy Feighan to focus on issues affecting the constituency.
He added that Feighan would have a position of responsibility when Simon Harris becomes Taoiseach in 2027:
