A local councillor says he's confident CCTV systems will be in place in two Longford towns by the end of next year. Fine Gael councillor Paul Ross called for an update on the installation of cameras in Ballymahon and Edgeworthstown at a recent Ballymahon Municipal District meeting. He said a key issue around data protection had been resolved with the local authority agreeing to control data from CCTV systems.
