A local councillor is hoping Roscommon Galway TD Martin Daly obtains a ministerial position in the new government.
A total of 23 ministerial roles are set to be out, with the Ballygar GP Martin Daly in contention for a possible position in the Department of Health.
The new Ministers of State won't be announced until the week after the Dáil returns next Wednesday.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, Independent councillor Laurence Fallon said that Roscommon needs the representation:
