A local councillor has played down concerns regarding the partial collapse of a building in Leitrim at the weekend. Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene in Mohill yesterday afternoon following the incident. Parts of the facade of the building, formerly Gannon's Shoe Shop, fell onto Main Street but no injuries were reported.
A cordon is currently in place at the scene and traffic on Main Street in Mohill has been reduced to one lane. Speaking to Shannonside News, Fine Gael Councillor Thomas Mulligan said he believes works were being completed on the interior of the building:
