The man in his 20s who died after a crash in east Galway has been named as Simon Quinn, from Abbeyknockmoy. He was driving the car that was involved in a single-vehicle collision in Ballintava, Dunmore, last Friday at 2.30 in the morning.
He died in hospital on Sunday and his funeral Mass will take place in St Bernard's Church, Abbeyknockmoy, on Thursday at 12 noon. Local councillor Declan Geraghty says the area's in shock:
