A protest is taking place in Ballaghaderreen this evening after a teenage boy was seriously assaulted earlier this week.
Gardaí are investigating reports he was attacked in Main Street at around 12.10am on Friday.
Today’s silent protest is being organised by Ballaghaderreen Concerned Citizens and will start at St Nathy’s Cathedral car park at 5 o’clock.
Local councillor Micheál Frain is concerned about a lack of gardaí and a rise in antisocial behaviour recently.
