There is antisocial behaviour and heavy littering at a playground in Ballymahon, according to a local councillor. Fine Gael's Paul Ross says the current site is in a heavily secluded area, beside a sewage treatment plant.

At a meeting of Ballymahon Municipal District yesterday, he called on Longford County Council to secure a new suitable site for a playground. Councillor Ross says the current site is not safe for children to play in - and young people drink there.
