A Leitrim Councillor has taken the decision to step down after almost 10 years of service.
Carrick on Shannon Councillor and businesswoman, Finola Armstrong McGuire revealed her decision at the most recent meeting of the area's Fine Gael Executive.
She was first elected in 2014 and served as Cathaoirleach of Leitrim County Council from 2017 to 2018.
The local Fine Gael representative also runs The Magnet in Carrick on Shannon.
She will continue in her role for a number of months until a replacement is found.
