Close to 20,000 homes and businesses in the Shannonside region remain without power today.
It's after the devastation caused by Storm Darragh yesterday morning.
ESB crews are working to restore electricity to homes throughout Longford, Leitrim, and Roscommon.
But it's warning significant numbers will be without electricity for several days - and some for around a week.
Roscommon senator Eugene Murphy is urging the public to take care of vulnerable residents.
According to Uisce Éireann, areas continuing to experience water supply disruption are Longford and Leitrim.
Castlerea councillor Paschal Fitzmaurice says water supplies have been impacted by the electricity blackouts.
All regional and national roads in Leitrim have now been cleared. Some local roads in higher and more remote areas are closed or have lying debris yet to be cleared. Caution advised on such routes.
Water supply is returning to customers supplied by Carrick-on-Shannon Water Treatment Plant.
Uisce Éireann working with the ESB has restored power at the water treatment plant and a normal water supply will return to customers over the next number of hours.
In the meantime, an alternative water supply has been arranged and is in place at the following locations: Drumshambo Mart, Fenagh National School and in Mohill (opposite the Fire Station).
