Several local authorities across the Shannonside Northern Sound region have made the shortlist for the Excellence in Local Government Awards 2023.
The Awards feature a total of 91 Local Authority projects shortlisted over 15 categories.
Cavan, Longford and Monaghan county councils have been recognised in a number of categories for this years awards.
Longford County Council received two nominations in the Communications and Festival of the Year categories.
They received the nominations for their Dog Rehoming Campaign and the Longford Lights Festival.
Cavan County Council also received two nominations in the Diversity & Inclusion and the supporting tourism categories.
They received their nominations for the GAA County All Stars Programme and Cuilcagh Lakelands Geopark Business Sustainability Network.
Meanwhile Monaghan County Council received one nomination in the Local Authority Innovation category for Delivering Local Authority Services Online.
The Excellence in Local Government Award winners will be announced at the 20th annual ceremony on 23rd of November at the Crowne Plaza in Santry, Co. Dublin.
