Criminal barristers, both locally and across the country, are taking part in a "withdrawal of services" today.
The action is over pay cuts introduced to profession during the financial crisis of 2008.
They've been calling for the restoration of fees since 2016, with the Government so far ignoring the issue according to the Bar of Ireland.
Protesting members won't attend court, communicate with solicitors or do paperwork, while demonstrations are being held at courthouses across the country.
