A local Dog Warden is warning pet owners that dogs involved in sheep attacks or livestock worrying can be legally shot by farmers.
Longford Dog Warden Hilary Robinson has urged dog owners to be responsible for their pets and know their whereabouts at all time.
According to Hilary, dog attacks on sheep and cattle are a terrifying experience for livestock and can have long lasting effects on both the animals and farmers.
