The Donamon resident also highlighted the reopening of Roscommon's A&E if he becomes a councillor.

A local elections candidate says he and his children have been forced into emergency accommodation due to the ongoing housing crisis. Irish People Party candidate Cathal Finnegan has accused the Government of prioritising Ukrainian refugees over housing. He says he'll prioritise the construction of 5,000 homes in the Roscommon area if elected next month.

The Donamon resident also highlighted the reopening of Roscommon's A&E if he becomes a councillor. The A&E has been closed since 2011. Speaking to Shannonside News, Cathal says he's speaking from experience when it comes to housing:
