A leading Irish food company has become the latest in line to seek planning permission for the installation of Solar Panels at their Eriostemon factory.
Kepak Athleague Unlimited Company have applied to Roscommon County Council for the construction of close to 13,000 square metres of photovoltaic panels at Cloonykelly, Athleague.
Unlike previous commercial applications seeking the installation of the renewable infrastructure at roof top level, Kepac plans to develope the solar panels on a field located north of existing buildings.

County planners will decide on the issue in February 2023.
